Moderatto is a Mexican pop-rock group famous for their glamorous/ironic style of music. They began playing in the mid-nineties in Mexico City, as a parody of the glamorous style of many 80's bands like Poison and Mötley Crüe; it began as a side project to the members' original bands, but eventually became quite popular among members of the Mexican alternative scene. Sous le nom de Moderat, se cachent tout simplement trois des acteurs les plus actifs de l'électro berlinoise actuelle. Il s'agit en effet de la réunion de Modeselektor (Gernot Bronset, Sebastian Szary) et Apparat (Sascha Ring). Le début de leur collaboration remonte à 2002, avec la réalisation d'un EP qui fut parait-il harassante et le renommèrent donc au dernier moment "Auf Kosten der Gesundheit", qu'on peut traduire par "au prix de la santé". The Moderator, aka Klaas-Jan Jongsma, is one of Hollands most talented producers in the field of electronic dance music. He has a very personal, melodic and soulful style of music that combines the past with the future. Klaas-Jan caught on to electronic music at an early age, listening to a broad range of developing styles. It all started... ...sometime back in 1980 in the suburbs of Malmö in south of Sweden. In a small dusty room four guys are doing their best to play their instruments. Per on guitar and Fjalle screaming vocals...they call their band Moderat Likvidation Meanwhile in Malmö City bands like Hjärnsubstans and Black Uniforms are doing the very same.
