Né à Lubumbashi (Congo), Baloji, accompagnant son père, débarque en Belgique à l’âge de 4 ans. Il entre dans le milieu hip hop à 13 ans, fasciné également par le tag et la danse.
Le coup de foudre pour la musique vient de l’écriture sophistiquée d’Akhenaton et à 15 ans, il devient MC dans le groupe Malfrats Linguistiques qui deviendra Starflam.
Après la tournée qui a suivi la sortie de l’album Donne-Moi De L’Amour, Baloji quitte le collectif en 2004. Il se lance dans le théâtre, l’écriture et le travail associatif.
