Joe Cocker est un chanteur de rock anglais et de blues. Il est né le 20 mai 1944 à Sheffield sous le nom de John Robert Cocker qui deviendra Joe Cocker. Il débute sa carrière musicale dans sa ville natale, où il participa à plusieurs groupes dès l'âge de quinze ans. Le premier était The Avengers, sous le nom de scène de Vance Arnold, puis Big Blues (1963), et enfin The Grease Band (1966). Fred Cockerham (3 November 1905 - July 8, 1980) was a fiddle and banjo player of American folk music. Cockerham was one of the seven children of Elias and Betty Jane Cockerham in North Carolina. He was one of the most accomplished of all the "Round Peak", North Carolina musicians but is most commonly known as the banjo accompanist to Tommy Jarrell. He played the fiddle in a more modern style than Jarrell, but played the fretless banjo in an old clawhammer style much like that of his old mentor, Charley Lowe. .

The Cocker Spaniels began Christmas 1994, when then 13-year-old Brooklynite Sean Padilla received a Yamaha MT8X and a drum kit for Christmas after years of collecting and teaching himself how to play other instruments (guitar, bass and piano).
