Being enthusiasts of each other's work for a long time, electronic musician Jean-François Brohée and vocalist Julie Cambier decided to work together and created the project tangtype in 2004. They imagined their collaboration as a tangram, a constant re-combination of elements, making sound / voice experiments evolving, reconstructing themselves from parts to parts, resulting into a redefinition of the traditional songs format.
