For five days in the summer of 2009, there was what can only be described as an incessant hubbub emitting from a tiny residential bungalow in the peaceful Yorkshire town of Mirfield. Sofia Essaïdi est une auteur-compositeur-interprète, comédienne franco-marocaine, née à Casablanca le 6 août 1984 d'un pére marocain et d'une mère française. Elle est également danseuse, joue du piano et des percussions, et compose à la guitare.
Elle effectue sa scolarité au Lycée Lyautey de Casablanca.
