Electro Latino is a term used to describe electropop, electroclash and other electro influenced bands from Latin America. Not all the electro latino bands are in spanish, french or portuguese, some of them actually sing in english, spanish or espanglish (mix of both). Some of these bands/dj's acts are from Spain, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, some of the hottest spots in Latin America for electro at the moment. Electro in this area before the 2000s was really rare, In the mid 2000s bands like Putilatex, Superputa, Dirty Princess and even Maria Daniela y su Sonido Lasser started building what we all know nowadays as the electro latino scene. Some people wrongly use this tag, tagging electronic latin bands as electro latino. .
