Reggae is a musical genre that arose out of 'ska' and 'rocksteady' music in 60's Jamaica. It is not uncommon for reggae to feature religious or political themes as in the "roots reggae" style. Reggae is particularly know for being popularized by Bob Marley & the Wailers in the 70s; sometimes dubbed the first "Third World Superstars". .
