1) ‘2g’ is a multi-handed and multi-human instrument assembled together to create music based on deep & conscient, mutual listening and interweaving of sounds, which constitute a multi-dimensional and multi-threaded unity.

The music of ‘2g’ is founded on heavy, diluted and downtempo rhythms reinforced by a very low, distinctive bass and is embedded in saturnine, fluid sound patterns created by other electric & acoustic instruments.

The music group ‘2g’ does not prepare finished tracks, albums or concert programs. ‘2g’ rather seeks specific mind states and endeavours to control them within each song. Hence aposiopetic music ensues, which can be replenished by the listener himself, by using it as a background for unconstrained mind excursions. ‘2g’ also writes music for movies and animation and, as it often happens, the group fraquently gravitates towards significantly decelerated grind core, intensive industrial or hardcore-trip-hop trance vibes.

‘2g’s line-up reaches from trio to nonet and determines each specific aleatoric composition. although hundreds of initial conditions are determined, their realization depends on each composing group member. The music of ’2g’ is created at its own laboratory – Studio333, owned by the bass player and group leader. 2g records live only and the entire line-up performs together in one room, without overdubs or corrections, always in high definition. Recordings are usually made with a minimized microphone set (1-8). Every 3-6 weeks ‘2g’ assembles for a couple of sessions at the laboratory, composing and recording new tracks on the go. The immense catalogue is still expanding, while new recordings are successively published on 2g off site


2) A French guitar duet featuring Christophe Godin and Pierrejean Gaucher performing Frank Zappa tunes, rearranged covers (Beatles, B.Frisell, ...), as well as compositions of their own with one motto : improvisation and humour! .
