Dub Syndicate is a dub band, formed by Style Scott, former drummer with the Roots Radics and Creation Rebel. Although the line-up has been very fluid, some members of the band have been semi-permanent, notably Bim Sherman (vocals), Deadly Headley (saxophone) and Dr. Pablo (melodica), (N.B. The Syndicats were Steve Howe's first band. Their three singles on Columbia (EMI) were produced by Joe Meek. When lead guitarist Howe left for Tomorrow in 1965, he was replaced by Ray Fenwick. Fenwick plays lead-guitar on "Crawdaddy Simone". He co-wrote it with Jeff Williams, the bands' keyboardist. That song has recently been covered by The Horrors.
