Gruntsplatter, the primary project of Scott Candey, came to be in 1994 after about a year of experimenting. It has always been a maleable creature that hovers in the gray area between abrasive noise and dark ambient. The music has been called "noise ambient" and it's a term I embrace. Mood and depth of composition have continually been of the first importance for Gruntsplatter.
