Flipper is an influential punk rock band from San Francisco, USA, forming in 1979 from the ruins of punk bands Sleepers and Negative Trend, and continuing in often erratic fashion to this day. They are also associated with the post-punk and noise rock genres. They made their first recordings available in late 1979 via the SF Underground 7" compilation series released via Steve Tupper's newly-formed Subterranean Records. Die Flippers (The Flippers) are a German Schlager group from Baden-Württemberg formed in 1964. They are one of the most successful Schlager groups ever, and have been constantly recording and releasing new music since their self-titled debut album (which was released in 1970). In total they have released 45 albums, 5 of which have gone platinum, 24 gold. Flipper's Guitar were a Tokyo-based Japanese pop duo formed by Keigo Oyamada (小山田圭吾, better known as Cornelius) and Kenji Ozawa (小沢健二, nephew of famed conductor Seiji Ozawa) in 1987.
