Pavel Bobek se narodil 16.září 1937 v Praze (zemřel 20.11.2013), po gymnáziu studoval v letech 1955-1961 na Fakultě architektury a pozemního stavitelství ČVUT. Stejně jako všichni jeho vrstevníci propadl rokenrolu, začal zpívat s fakultní skupinou FAPS, později působil v tzv Studiu bigbeatové hudby a v roce 1959 v divadle Paravan. Jako inženýr architekt nastoupil ve Sdružení velkovýkrmen, kde působil v jedné projekční skupině se svými vysokoškolskými kolegy: konferenciérem Rangers a rozhlasovým diskžokejem Mirkem Černým a s Petrem Nárožným. The Pavel Haas Quartet is a string quartet founded in 2002, since when it has a won a number of international awards. Named after the Czech composer Pavel Haas (1899–1944), who was deported from Czechoslovakia in 1941 and died in the Auschwitz concentration camp, the quartet is made up of violinists Veronika Jarůškova and Kateřina Gemrotová, violist Pavel Nikl, and cellist Peter Jarůšek.
