Arottenbit is an electronic music project inspired by different genres. From the violence of live hardcore punk, to the heaviness of sludge metal concerts, to the wide-open eyes that you can only see at the worst Sunday morning's afterparties. Arottenbit is a mix of various influences and an absolutely personal and unprecedented mix of extremely impacting experiences. The project begins in 2008 by Alessandro Galli, a sound engineer based in Milan. The choice to make 8bit music was born mainly from the desire to make electronic music without using a computer. The opulescence of the contemporary world, in which the main feature is the brevity of fruition and the reiteration of consumption, has meant that the music of Arottenbit was created with an old instrument, a game for children now used to awaken the nightmares of adults. The gameboy, in its heavy technical limitations, made sound research a real challenge. During the years Arottenbit has played with a number of well know bands and solo-projects from both the Italian and the International music scene, such as Melt Banana, Atari Teenage Riot, Melvins, The Body, Ufomammut and thousand more.
In 2017 the project starts experimenting new approaches to composition, introducing a drummer: Guido Zima Montanarini, well know for his role in the grindcore power trio Implore.
The presence of Montanarini gives the band an even more devastating and violent live impact, impossible to reproduce on record because of the communicative urgency that the duo manages to transmit on stage.

In 2018 they release they first EP "Demo94"
Recorded in Turin in the Deepest Sea Studio, using a wall of eight amplifiers and sixteen microphones and mixed by Arottenbit (thanks to Converse Rubber Tracks) at the Officine Meccaniche in Milan with the help of Hector Castillo (David Bowie, Bjork, Phillip Glass)
The album is composed by 4 unreleased tracks of chaotic brutal 8-bit techno in the name of growth and musical research. .
