Brazilian singer and composer is one of the newest in modern Brazilian popular music (MPB). Her charisma and voice impacts with sincere objectivity in her way to "say" a song. With a work that mixes regional rhythms with samples and electronic timbres, Vange is modernizing the Brazilian pop. It’s a music with a strong rhythmic appeal and melodic richness, as mixed as its people.

She began her career singing in shows and appearing on records with the recording artists Itamar Assumpção and Zé Kéti - composer of "Mascara Negra" considered the Carnival Anthem.

Her first CD "Vange Milliet", produced by Paulo Lepetit, was heralded by the press as one the best of 1995. The line up of songs on "Vange Milliet" is a "Who's Who" in Brazilian popular music. From top composers like Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso to newcomers such as Chico César, André Abujamra, Lenine and Zeca Baleiro. Among the leading musicians featured on the album are Bocato, Paulo Lepetit and the living legend Lanny Gordin. With great ability to identify new talents, Vange was one of the first singers to record and interpret Chico César, who plays on the CD and co-writes some songs.

On his second album, "Arrepiô", Vange Milliet explores more deeply the roots of Brazilian rhythms, like "coco", "forró" and "samba", incorporating the new influences of the international pop music. In her music "Terra Brasilis", she talks about the 500 years of the discovery of Brazil, and mixes her song with samples of indium’s voices recorded 50 years ago. In the music "Arrepiô", she play "coco" (Brazilian rhythms that seems rap), mixed with guitars and rabeca (a kind of rustic violin).

She's also developing herself as composer with partners like Chico Cesar, Zeca Baleiro and Itamar Assumpção, some of the strongest and new talents from Brazilian Music.

The album has been highly praised by all-important critics, and nominated for the "Prêmio Sharp".

At 1999 Vange Milliet made shows in Africa (Mozambique), where she presented her show invited by the red cross, sharing the stage with local artists like Mingas among others; and Europe, where she participate of Womex99 (one of the most important world music exposition.

She has just released her third CD "Tudo em mim anda a mil".
