Zoltán Kocsis (May 30, 1952 – November 6, 2016) was a Hungarian virtuoso pianist, conductor, and composer. Born in Budapest, he began his musical studies at the age of five and continued them at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in 1963, studying piano and composition. In 1968 he was admitted to the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he was a pupil of Pál Kadosa, Ferenc Rados and György Kurtág, graduating in 1973. Il Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti (o CSI) è un gruppo musicale italiano nato dall'unione dei primi Litfiba e dei CCCP Fedeli alla linea. Le voci del gruppo sono Giovanni Lindo Ferretti e Ginevra Di Marco. Tra gli altri componenti ricordiamo Massimo Zamboni, Gianni Maroccolo, Giorgio Canali e Francesco Magnelli. Elek Bacsik (22 May 1926-14 February 1993) was a Hungarian jazz violinist and guitarist. Bacsik was of Gypsy descent and probably studied at the Budapest Conservatory but found his primary musical inspiration in bebop pioneers Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker. He worked in Paris in the early 1960s (he recorded two albums on guitar and he worked with Serge Gainsbourg on the album "Confidentiel") and in Las Vegas starting in 1967. The Csík zenekar (Csík Band), which plays traditional peasant folk music, was formed in Hungary, Kecskemét in 1988. „During the years past, we have composed and performed Hungarian folk music & our band became more & more popular regarding the innumerable successful concerts & dance-houses organized in Hungary & abroad.
