Schattenspiel (formerly known as Phalanx feat. The White Rabbit“) was established in November, 2008 at Frankfurt on the Main, Germany by Sven Phalanx and The White Rabbit. After the Band already gained own musical experiences during earlier years, they decided to make an autonomous project out of it. Another musician for the electronic parts was found: Iris T. Although founded in the late 90s by sibling guitarists Stefan and Uwe Stronks, keyboarder René Grün and drummer Stephan Weitz, Germany based metal band Schattenspieler (which roughly translates into 'Playing the Shadows') was officially born in the year 2000, when after months of casting, finally a suitable vocalist had been found.
