Originating circa 1975 - popularized circa 2008, and is a branch off of idm and Glitch-Hop where there is more of a focus on the step, broken beat, scatter funk rhythm. A rhythm that is "a general rubric for all kinds of jittery, irregular rhythms that don't conform to the hip hop pulse".
