McClane refers to three artists:

1. McClane was a punk rock/hardcore band from Hellrose, Massachusetts USA, active between 2004 and 2007.

Mcclane was a promising local band from Melrose(hellrose), just north of Boston. They started off playing faster, louder hardcore and later moved on to play softer music, more often singing than screaming. They covered both spectrums very well and remain to be one of the most underrated local bands from the greater Boston area.

2. McClane is a hardcore/tech/thrash/grind trio from Canberra, Australia, formed in 2007 out of a mutual appreciation of Die Hard films and extreme music.

McClane (formerly Dead Baby Joke) is Julian, Reuben and Nickamc going spare in a room. Sometimes you're there too.

Playing shows with groups like Give Up All Hope (UK), Crux (Syd), The Thaw (Syd), Kill A Celebrity (Syd), Rather Be Dead (Syd), Luca Brasi (Melb), Fireships (Melb) Anal Discharge (Newc) & Moments!, McClane are kicking shit and taking numbers.

Reuben's solo breakcore/metal Dead Baby Joke project (the previous incarnation of the band) had the pleasure of sharing stages with interstate and international acts such as Captain Ahab (USA), Ove-Naxx (JPN), Toxic Lipstick (Bris), Toecutter (Syd), Xian (Syd), Anal Cookie (Bris), Suicidal Rap Orgy (NSW), Crab Smasher (Newc), and DrillBit (Newc), until he lost all the beats in a deletion mishap. Then Julian learned the drum parts and Nickamc joined on vocals and the trio changed name to something much trendier with the kids.

All of the members also played in Inflatable Ingrid.

3. McClane is a tech metal band from Atlanta, Georgia USA. McClane emerged in mid 2007 spitting fire and new life into Atlanta's burdened and regressive metal scene with their fresh and progressive style spanning the gamut of metal genres combined with jazz and prog influences.
