Excrement of War were a hardcore crust punk band from UK, formed in early 90's, they recorded 2 demos and released The waste & the geeed 7"(R.T.P. Records), split with Dischange (Finn Records) a split full length with the Connecticut crusties Deformed Conscience and the Cathode ray coma CD (Finn). Vocalist Leigh latter joined Violent Arrest. Ray Draper was an excellent tuba soloist, one of the few in the 1950s to utilize the instrument for bop improvisations.
After attending the Manhattan School of Music, he played and recorded with Jackie McLean (1956-1957), worked with Donald Byrd, and recorded with John Coltrane (1958).
