After completing an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, Makoto first signed with LTJ Bukem’s legendary Good Looking Records back in 1999. Kiyoshi Yoshida (吉田潔) majored in contemporary arrangement and film scoring at the Berklee College of Music. Upon his return to Japan in 1987, he became involved in composing various types of music, including sound tracks and commercial scores as a synthesizer operator and producer. Each picked up the shamisen at the tender age of five and began studying Tsugaru shamisen under Takashi Sasaki I in 1990.
