マイ・ケミカル・ロマンス（My Chemical Romance）は、アメリカ合衆国ニュージャージー州出身のロックバンド。バンド名はベーシストのマイキー・ウェイの発案で、アーヴィン・ウェルシュのカルト小説（「Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance」）から由来する。 パンク・ロック、ハードコアを基調とした音楽性はブラック・フラッグやアイアン・メイデン、ミスフィッツなどから影響を受けている。ヴァンパイアや死を用いたオカルト的とも取れる世界観の歌詞は賛否両論である。ファンの間では「MCR」もしくは「My Chem（日本では同様に「マイケミ」）との略称で呼ばれている。 メンバー ジェラルド・ウェイ （Gerard Way 1977年4月9日 - ） - ボーカル レイ・トロ （Ray Toro 1977年7月15日） - リードギター フランク・アイイアロ （Frank Iero 1981年10月31日 - ） - リズムギター マイキー・ウェイ （Mikey Way 1980年9月10日 - ） - ベース ボブ・ブライヤー （Bob Bryar 1979年12月31日- -） - ドラム 旧メンバー マット・ペリシアー（Matt Pelissier） ジェラルドとマットの2人で、最初の曲となる「Skylines And Turnstiles」を作る。そのデモテープがアイボール・レコードの目に留まり契約に至る。2002年、デビューアルバムのレコーディング中に物足りなさを感じたバンドは、フランクを新たなギタリストとして迎える。その後たった2週間でレコーディングを終え、最初の曲である「Skylines And Turnstiles」をリリースする。そして2002年の殆どをアメリカやヨーロッパでのツアーに費やし、この時より確かなファンベースを獲得する。2003年7月には、サーズデイのGeoff Rickly (Vo)のプロデュースのもと、ファーストアルバム『I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love』がインディーズより発売される。彼との親交はジェラルドがサーズデイのTシャツを描いた事から続く縁である。 そしてバンドはメジャーレーベルのリプリーズ・レコードと契約し、セカンドアルバムである『Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge』を制作する。本作でバンドはメジャーデビューを果たし、多くの雑誌やメディアに取り上げられる事になる。なお、セカンドアルバムは一週間にしてファーストアルバムの約２倍も売れるなどといった驚異的な売り上げ数を記録した。日本でも日本デビュー前にも関わらずフジロックとサマーソニックの間で争奪戦が繰り広げられるなど話題となる。結局バンドはサマーソニック04にて初来日し、多くの観客を熱狂させた。その来日後、ドラマーのマットが脱退、新たなドラマーとしてボブを迎える。 2005年2月には再来日し、ワンマンツアーを敢行。2006年8月にはサマーソニック06に出演するなど精力的に活動している。同年12月にはサードアルバム『The Black Parade』を発売。2007年1月には東京、名古屋、大阪、と合計4箇所で3度目となる来日公演を行った。同年5月には初の武道館公演を行った。この武道館での公演がブラックパレードツアーの最終公演となった。 2010年10月には4thアルバム「Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys」を発売。 全米で8位、日本でも同じく8位、そして世界20カ国以上でチャートインし、人気の健在ぶりを見せつけた。 .

Hiromi Uehara (上原ひろみ, born 26 March 1979) is a Japanese jazz composer and pianist. She is known for her virtuosic technique, energetic live performances and blend of jazz with other musical genres such as progressive rock, classical and fusion in her compositions.
