Part of the 80's wave of UK Neo Psych and Garage Punk, The Morticians made one of the best lost UK psych-punk albums of that era. It's a combination of '60s styled garage punk and West Coast/Pink Fairies like acid guitar rock. Heavy distorted fuzzed out guitar solos, swirling keyboards and a really stoned atmosphere pervade this little gem that's long gone on vinyl. Morticians is an EBM side-project of Eternity Range.
Morticians was formed in the autumn of 1991 when Andreas Rimheden and Stefan Thor both went to the same art school in the southern parts of Sweden. They discovered that they shared a fascination for hard electronic music, especially when it was accompanied with distorted energetic vocals.
In 2009 Marie Hagelqvist, long time companion on the synthpop side project Eternity Range, has joined the band to add a female dimension to the hard industrial sound. The duo continued to record new material and a full length album, Voidwalker, was completed in February...
Born in the dead heat of a Salt Lake City summer in 2013, Shadow Windhawk and the Morticians are a four-piece horror rock outfit founded and fronted by ex-DieMonsterDie axe man Shadow Windhawk. The band features Rich Misery (Curseworship/Burn Your World) on Bass, Trip MD (ex-SeventKing) on Drums and Stich (Tragic Black, Corvid, Stich) on Rhythm Guitar. .
