The Trashwomen was an all-female surf garage punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Formed in 1991 by neophyte musicians Tina Lucchesi (of Top Ten, and The Bobbyteens,) and Danielle Pimm; and former Eight Ball Scratch gutarist and now mother of artist Kreayshawn, Elka Zolot, the band quickly built a following in the San Francisco garage rock scene. Tina Lucchesi is also the front woman for Tina & The Total Babes – this time in an otherwise male band – who released an album in 2001 on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label. .

The Bulgarian Women's Choir (also known as The Bulgarian Voices Angelite or simply Angelite) is among the most renowned ensembles in the categories of Balkan and Bulgarian folk music. This women's choir has performed practically everywhere: on the Red Square in Moscow, at the award ceremony of the Nobel Peace Prize in Stockholm and at the Vatican.
