punk pathetique | ja

Punk pathetique was a term coined by "Sounds" journalist Garry Bushell to describe a type of punk rock that used humour in its lyrics whilst sharing the working class sensibilities of Oi. The main purveyors of punk pathetique included Splodgenessabounds, Peter and the Test Tube Babies and The Toy Dolls who combined a Dickensian attitude with bawdy, tongue-in-cheek punk songs. .
