The group worked extensively with producer Wardell Quezerque and songwriter Joe Broussard. The group formed in the Desire projects in the mid-1960s. Founding members were James Youngblood, brothers Albert and Alvin Savoy and Lloyd Shepard. Later members included Ronnie Robertson, Clemen Smith and Carl Matthews.
