There is more than one artist with this name:

1) The Falling (Chinese: 堕天, duòtiān) (formally known as Mermaid 人鱼 rényú) - A Metalcore band from Beijing, People's Republic of China. Formed in 2006, the band hit its stride with the arrival of new vocalist 王昱天 (Wang Yutian). After which things got more professional both in songwriting and live performances and soon the quintet became one of the most popular Chinese metalcore bands. The release of their first album "New World Order" To Save Earth in 2010 saw them catapulted to the forefront of the Chinese metal scene, opening for bands like In Flames, Lamb of God and Suicide Silence on their Chinese tours. However, by far their biggest achievement to date was winning 'Best Chinese Band' at the 2012 edition of Metal Battle China, which also won them a slot to perform at the famous Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.

The song Circle II Circle was featured on the Core in China sampler which was released for free by the website www.rockinchina.com . The song would also feature on the bands second album From Omega Back To Alpha, released in 2013. A headline tour of China followed shortly after the release to promote it.

2) The Falling - an unsigned Montreal based rock band founded by singer/songwriter Pat Rossi. The journey began when long-time band mates Pat Rossi and Jesse Zito, had a vision of writing an album with a sound which would push the boundaries of modern rock music, embrace and exploit pop culture with catchy melodies and ripping guitar riffs, all while experimenting with electronic sounds and sequences. In order to bring their music to life, the duo joined forces with Gautier Marinof, an engineer/producer who worked alongside the eminent Bob Rock at Montreal's very own Studio Piccolo.

After completing their recordings Rossi and Zito teamed up with well experienced musicians Dominic Byers on bass and Alexi Rioux on drums to provide the rhythm section needed to properly demonstrate and project the songs live while capturing the same momentum and vision that Rossi and Zito had created in studio months earlier.

3) The Falling - Known members: Tyler McDaniel, had an EP and a 7" released on No Karma Records as well as a track on the "Make Way for No Karma" compilation. .
