The Scheme struggles majestically against the heft of its own sound - barely contained. Wave upon wave, swell upon swell, the complex fugues emerge howling from the heaving forces under their spell; a steady and sustained colossus of sound erupting over the dance floor.

Rapacious percussions, devilish horn parts and diving bass create a seething maelstrom. Salvo guitars and voodoo chants entwine with billowing six-part vocal harmonies. Syzygies! Gasps! Explosions! Hypnotic possessions and unholy electrical powers...

While they describe their sound as simply “rock,” elements of hardcore, progressive, and ambient that comprise their latest EP launch this independent band into a category all their own. The Pyramid Scheme is known locally for their energetic live shows, comprised of both improvisational jams and a tendency of going absolutely crazy while playing the last song of a show.
