Thee Heavenly Music Association are an Anglo-American shoegaze band that formed in 2001. The band formed after frontwoman Hellen Storer, (noted for her high profile role in a London all girl punk band Fluffy) relocated to Los Angeles and met Dave Hillis. Hillis who is best known for engineering Pearl Jam’s multi-platinum Ten LP, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains' Would? and Sap EP's, agreed to help Storer record and engineer the project. .

The group Sorry Music comes from Zelenograd on the outskirts of Moscow, an area that - to this day - enjoys the lingering, acrid atmosphere of Soviet industry. The Early Music Consort of London was founded in 1967 by David Munrow and Christopher Hogwood and disbanded in 1976 after Munrow's untimely death. The group had a tremendous impact on the performance of medieval and early modern music. On an Overgrown Path offers a tribute to Munrow.
