Elektrick Mann (Elektrïck Mann) is a band from Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic. It presents itself as a popular entertaining orchestra, playing so called alco-rap music, strongly influced by american rap/rock bands like Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys or Rage Against The Machine. Elektrick Mann is known for its vulgar and offensive lyrics with very specific humour, describing ordinary lives of ordinary people, mostly about rough relationships between man and woman in support of alcohol and other laughter stimulating stuff. Their music and lyrics makes together complex statement of middle-aged punk-hiphopers. Discography: Hrubý styl - live (Crystal Production, 2001) Zhorovy streety (Crystal...
Električni orgazam (Electric Orgasm) were formed in 1980 in Belgrade by Srđan "Gile" Gojković (vocals, guitars), Ljubomir "Jovec" Jovanović (guitars), Marina Vulić (bass) and Ljubomir Đukić (keyboards, organs). Their first recordings were published in 1981 in the Paket Aranžman omnibus album that also included songs from the bands Idoli and Šarlo Akrobata. Paket Aranžman was very important record because it highly helped the rise of Serbian punk, new wave and alternative scene, not only in Belgrade, but in whole Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia. Their first self-titled album was released in 1981 featuring a fairly straight-forward punk sound with a small dose...
Chick Corea Elektric Band, led by renowned pianist Chick Corea, is one of the most critically acclaimed jazz fusion bands of the past two decades. Following the demise of Return to Forever, Corea established the musical ensemble in 1986. The Elektric Band is greatly different in style in comparison with Return to Forever in that it signified a move away from rock-oriented fusion into a more Post-bop style. Following a long hiatus, the band reunited to produce "To the Stars" in 2004. Text taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick_Corea_Elektric_Band .
Electronic music group founded by Karl Bartos (former member of Kraftwerk) and Lothar Manteuffel (former member of Rheingold) in 1992. Their first album Esperanto (1993) features guest vocals by Andy McCluskey (of OMD) on the track Kissing The Machine. The tracks "Crosstalk" and "Overdrive" were co-written with Kraftwerk collaborator Emil Schult, who also created the graphics for early Elektric Music releases. The sound of ‘Esperanto’ is reminiscent of Kraftwerk and the more recent solo work of Karl Bartos. Manteuffel left the group following the release of 'Esperanto' and all future releases were credited to Bartos alone. The second eponymous titled...
London Elektricity (aka Tony Colman) has become a byword for groundbreaking 'fast soul music', ramming venues, destroying drum & bass crowds, leaving huge smiles from the Big Chill to Glastonbury and beyond, London Elektricity Live has always been 'out of this world'. The LE saga began way back in '96, and up until 2002 LE was a double-act. Tony Colman and Chris Goss made their mark in 98 with the epic Song In The Key Of Knife, and subsequent critically acclaimed debut album Pull The Plug. In 2002 Tony took on the project solo, as Chris concentrated on taking the...
