The 1900s are a 7-piece band from Chicago. They use unique arrangements to make strange and beautiful songs that are both endearing and fun. The 1900s have enough members that their songs can effortlessly slide across styles (coke 'n' rhinestone country, urban pastoral garage, straight-up boy/girl belting), filling a room while remaining breezy 'n' easy, even when dropping lines like "You said you'd never want to take it from behind from boys / but pride starts wasting away before your youth" in the chiming, bouncing, tambourine 'n' piano tapping "Georgia." Christian Gabel is the person behind the 1900. He was born and raised in Karlstad, but now he lives in Stockholm and played drums with Thåström, Pelle Ossler and Bob Hund. This is his first self-composed album. Other collaborators on the disc are Nina Ramsby, Andreas Söderström, Martin Ehrencrona, Jan Martens and Jonna Sandell. .

The idea of 1900 Yesterday was concieved in 2002 in Ciamis, Jawa Barat, Indonesia, during a small conversation between Yudi Rizky Rewards and Hilman Yuniarto. They eventually invited another member from their previous band and, so, the new pop band was formed. On that same day "In One Day" song was written and the work on the band's first lineup was done. Original members were: Rizky Yudi Reward on bass, Hilman Yuniarto on vocals, Ilham Djauhari Hasan on semi-acoustic guitar, Iim Ibrahim and Irvan on guitars and Teguh Putra Indra on drums.
