Bullet for My Valentine are a melodic metalcore/thrash metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is composed of Matt Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Paget (lead guitar), Jamie Mathias (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Michael Thomas (drums). They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. Financial difficulties dictated the name change, which was followed by a change in music...
My Bloody Valentine is a shoegaze band formed in late 1983 in Dublin, Ireland. The band’s best known lineup is Kevin Shields (vocals, guitar), Bilinda Butcher (vocals, guitar), Debbie Googe (bass) and Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums). Their 1988 album Isn't Anything is generally regarded as one of the most influential records of the period, acting as an important precursor to the early '90s "shoegazing" scene. In 1991, the band released their second full length album Loveless, later declared one of the finest albums of the 1990s. The band struggled to record a follow up album and split in 1997. The...

The inaugural version of the band comprised Ellis, guitarists Chuck Brummond, bassist Devon and drummer Scott Pletcher. They would first make their presence known by distributing a two song promo tape at the 2002 'Milwaukee Metalfest'. Signing to Magick Records, Wehrwolfe issued the 2003...

The springboard for the sound they shape as their own is a mixture of ESP folk, British folk, free jazz, and their own willful experimentation. Obvious points of reference could be the '60s groups Pearls Before Swine and the Fugs, who had a knack of keeping exquisite...
