The original members were (besides Vaughan) Stephen Tobolowsky, Jim Rigby, Mike McCullough, and Bobby Foreman. The group was featured on 'A New Hi', a 1971 compilation album of local Dallas bands.

2. Cast of Thousands was a Northern Irish indie new wave band that formed in the mid-80s. Originally coming out of the DIY Derry punk scene in the late-70s, they released the LP 'Passion' in 1987 on Fun After All Records, garnering some local success (coming off an obscure previous single release in 1985). The band included lead singer Dave Harvey on vocals, Jim Walker on Guitar, Greg Terry Short on Drums, bassist Mark Megennetty and Nick Graham on keyboards.

Their style was comparable to Scottish contemporaries such as Big Country and Simple Minds and . Mainstream success eluded the group, but they picked up enough local acclaim to appear on RTE's 'Borderline'. Their music continues to find a following among new wave revivalists. The members are singer-guitarist Burt Hashiguchi, drummer Derrick Hostetter, and bassist-singer Jennifer Yee. They released their first album, 'This Is Where I Confess', in July 2007 to local acclaim. The band has performed at esteemed Bay Area venues including the Great American Music Hall, Slim's, Red Devil Lounge, and The Bottom Of The Hill. .
