Born in 1982, Lara McAllen always had a fascination with the music world since she was little, starting to dance at the tender age of 5.

While young, Lara tasted a bit of the what is to perform live, being a backup dancer for Shakira at 18.

Her dreams started to come true when she recorded a couple of demos with DJ Tonka -'Don't Cry', 'The Garden' & 'Get Back'-, the latter was a moderate club hit all over Europe, which is a fantastic feat for a brand new recording artist in the industry. Further success was also found with the Top 10 Dance Hit 'Free (Let It Be)' produced by Stuart; the track also cracked the official UK Top 50 Singles with little promotion.

In 2003, a group of producers called 'Angel City' wanted to record a cover of the massive 'Love Me Right (Oh Sheila)' which would later score them their first UK Top 20 single (enjoying two weeks at #11) and starting to make Lara a recognized face in the UK Dance scene. A follow up single, 'Touch Me (All Night Long)' also charted inside the Top 20 at #18, giving them their second hit in a row.

Obviously, this wasn't enough for Lara and Angel City, so a third single would be subsequently released. This time the fantasic 'Do You Know (I Go Crazy)' got the chance. The song was a big club hit all over Europe and a Top 10 hit in the UK, charting at #8. After this situation, Angel City decided to release yet another single before the album hit the stores, 'Sunrise' was the chosen track (which would also compete in a strong week for single releases in the UK) - even considering that, 'Sunrise' got to #9 and the 'Love Me Right' album went Top 45.

Sadly, Angel City and Lara decided to part ways in 2005, and Lara is currently recording a couple of tracks for her solo debut. Some demos have been leaked, like the electro rock influenced 'Backup'. Lara McAllen's solo project is expected to be launched in 2007. .
