Arch Enemy - szwedzki zespół grający melodic death metal, założony w 1996 r. w Halmstad przez Michaela Amotta, byłego gitarzystę Carcass, muzyka znanego także z występów w grupie Spiritual Beggars. Zespół nawiązuje w swoich tekstach do antychrześcijaństwa, buntu oraz społeczeństwa. Debiutancki album Arch Enemy "Black Earth" powstał w 1996 r. i został wydany przez obecnie nieistniejącą Wrong Again Records. Płyta odniosła duży sukces w Japonii oraz w Szwecji.
