Tyruss Himes, lepiej znany ze scenicznych imion Big Syke i Mussolini, urodził się i dorastał w Inglewood, Kalifornia. Jako dziecko nosił przydomek Little Psycho. Karierę rapera zaczął w ekipie Evil Minded Gangstas, w 1990 roku. Pragnął jednak zadebiutować jako solowy artysta. Spotkał się z 2Pac'em w 1992 roku, szybko stali się przyjaciółmi - Syke uczył Tupac'a o ulicach, zaś Pac przedstawiał mu tajniki rap gry.
