There is more than one band named The Tuesdays: 1) A short-lived but enjoyable group from Norway who balanced indie-style guitar pop hooks with commercial gloss. 2) A former pop-rock band (with some jazz/blues) from Auckland, New Zealand. Chantel McCarten (vocals/guitar) and Maria Griffith (bass) had been playing and songwriting together for six years, four of those with the Auckland girl band Babinski, which they formed while still at school. Members of the band included Pat Deighan, bass & vocals; Dan Currie, guitar,banjo & vocals; John Mullens, steel guitar & vocals; Mike MacDougall, drums & vocals; Craig MacPherson, accordion; fiddle & vocals and Steve Balderston, guitar & vocals. Tuesdays was a German pop band that took part in the German national final of the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest with a song called "Du bist mein Weg" (You Are My Way). The song came 10th. .
