Soundgarden - amerykański zespół rockowy, identyfikowany z nurtem grunge, czerpiący jednak inspirację z tradycji muzycznej zespołów garażowych lat sześćdziesiątych i szeroko pojętego rocka psychodelicznego. Muzyka grupy opierała sie na cięzkich riffach gitarowych Kima Thayila, wysokim śpiewie Chrisa Cornella i gęstej grze sekcji rytmicznej.
