Zorn to zespół pochodzący z Niemiec powstały w celu grania ekstremalnego black metalu w 2001 roku. Pierwsze wydawnictwo grupy to zwykły reh zatytułowany po prostu "Rehearsal Tape 2001" i z uwagi na limit 50-ciu egzemplarzy raczej już niemożliwy do zdobycia. Po podpisaniu stosownych papierów z wytwórnią Last Episode dochodzi do nagrania debiutanckiego albumu Zorn "Schwarz metall"(Black Metal), którego wydanie odbiło się szerokim echem na niemieckiej scenie ale i nie tylko. W międzyczasie powstała też inna taśma, również limitowana do 50 sztuk i wydana przez zespół własnym sumptem.
