Nicolas Jaar jest amerykańsko-chilijskim muzykiem. Aktualnie studiuje literaturę porównawczą na Uniwersytecie Browna. Jaar jest również właścicielem i założycielem jego własnej wytwórni płytowej i Clown & Sunset. Muzyka Jaara jest pogrążona w myślach i emocjonalna (on nazywa to "niebieski-falą"), czerpiąc natchnienie z chilijskiego Ricardo Villalobos i minimalnej muzyki techno.
