Psychocore (German: Psychokore) is a subcategory that derived from Horrorcore. The latter mainly has mystical and occult content but Psychocore is mainly about real violence that people do to each other
"Traditional" Psychocore was coined (approximately in 2005) by German rapper Blokkmonsta - best recognized for Growl rapping or shouting like in Death Metal, and brutal texts which are often inspired by splatter films. Blokkmonsta often makes direct references to horror films like Saw, Hostel etc. The beats are made wth strong influence of Southern Rap, esp. Crunk and Memphis Rap .
