The Moderator, aka Klaas-Jan Jongsma, is one of Hollands most talented producers in the field of electronic dance music. He has a very personal, melodic and soulful style of music that combines the past with the future. Klaas-Jan caught on to electronic music at an early age, listening to a broad range of developing styles. He was thrilled by the emergence of house music and techno and fully immersed himself in these new musical forms. As a consequence he got interested in the creation of this fascinating music. It all started... ...sometime back in 1980 in the suburbs of Malmö in south of Sweden. In a small dusty room four guys are doing their best to play their instruments. Per on guitar and Fjalle screaming vocals...they call their band Moderat Likvidation Meanwhile in Malmö City bands like Hjärnsubstans and Black Uniforms are doing the very same. Moderato é um projeto solitário, que estendido para o coletivo une 3 estados brasileiros: Paraná, Alagoas e Rio Grande do sul. Leonardo de Oliveira nasceu no Paraná, mas só teve contato com a música, em seu seu sentido prático, em Alagoas, onde começou a compor. Inpirado por alguns 'one man band', Leonardo começou a fazer gravações caseiras misturando MPB, sadcore, freak folk e low fi em canções simples. Essas gravações agradaram ao gaúcho Pedro Ivo Euzebio, integrante da banda do catarinense radicado em alagoas, Wado. Em 2007 Leonardo e Pedro estão preparando o 1º EP oficial do Moderato.
