Lunachicks é uma banda riot grrrl formada em New York, no ano de 1987. Suas influências vão desde bandas como Plasmatics e Wendy O. Williams até Chrissie Hynde e seus Pretenders. Gina, Squid, Sindi, Theo's e seu até então namorado Mike começaram ensaiando durante um ano no quarto de Gina até lançarem seu primeiro álbum oficial "Babysitters on Acid", em 1990 pelo selo inglês Blast First.
