Deicide é uma banda de Death Metal dos Estados Unidos, formada em 1987, Tampa, Flórida. A banda inicialmente chamava-se Carnage. Quando Glen Benton uniu-se a banda, o nome mudou para Amon. Durante o tempo em que tocaram com este nome, eles lançaram duas demos: Feasting the Beast (1987) e Sacrificial (1989). Em 1989 adotaram o nome definitivo devido a pressões da Roadrunner Records, pois Amon era o nome de uma casa citada no album "Them" da banda King Diamond.
