Formada na metade dos anos 80 em São Francisco, EUA, a banda lançou dois álbuns, Breaking The Silence em 1987 e Victims Of Deception em 1991, e terminou suas atividades em 1992. Em 2001 o grupo foi reformulado para se apresentar no Thrash of the Titans, um festival com algumas das bandas dos anos 80 de Thrash Metal da Bay Area para juntar fundos para Chuck Billy (Testament), que na época estava com problemas de saúde. Depois disso o Heathen continuou tocando em shows, foi lançado uma colêtanea com alguns sons novos em 2004, em 2005 foi gravada uma demo...

Heathen Hammer is pure black metal hailing from Covington, Kentucky. It features members of the band Sin, as well as Sapthuran. The current line-up is J. Morris, P. Hall, K. Leeds, and CultSS. They currently have one demo and one rehearsal released. While they are not pure NSBM their lyrics deal with such issues as pride, honor, heritage, and war and relates in many ways to NSBM ideology and heathen revival. .

1. The Heathens were a band from Central Florida. Composed of Chris Rae (bass), Chris Cucci (banjo, guitar, keys), Sean Moore (violin, trumpet, guitar, keys, vocals), Matthew Butcher (guitar, vocals), and Jeff Ilgenfritz (drums, harp, guitar, keys, vocals). The Heathens made Country/Folk/Rock music. Their debut album was released in 2006. Unfortunately the band disbanded in 2007. Due in part to conflict between members of the band and that none of the members wanted to make the Heathens their full time band. Since the break-up each member has joined other bands in Central Florida or is working on a solo career....
