Filha de um cineasta, Ximena começou sua carreira como atriz. Além de se dedicar ao cinema, tanto atuando como fazendo trilhas sonoras para filmes, ela tem um grupo musical chamado "Feliz No Cumpleaños" ,que mistura rock com jazz.
