Kandi Burruss é uma cantora, compositora e produtora de r&b que fez parte do grupo Xscape. Já escreveu para nomes como Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Boyz II Men, Da Brat, P!nk, *NSYNC, N-TOON, Solo, Usher, Fantasia, Mýa, Joe, MC Lyte, Whitney Houston, TLC e Destiny's Child. Para essas duas últimas, escreveu dois hits número um, No Scrubs e Bills, Bills, Bills, respectivamente.
