Samuel George "Sammy" Davis, Jr. (born December 8, 1925 in Harlem, New York; died May 16, 1990 in Beverly Hills, California) was a Grammy Award winning singer, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning actor, dancer, multi-instrumentalist and only black member of Frank Sinatra's The Rat Pack. Jan and Romke Kleefstra are brothers, currently based in The Netherlands who have previously collaborated with Machinefabriek and Peter Broderick amongst many others. Joined by British artist Gareth Davis, they make some ominous dynamic soundscapes using guitar, clarinet and spoken word. In February 2009, Jan and Romke Kleefstra invited clarinetist extraordinaire Gareth Davis to join them in an small and intimate country-side studio located at the very heart of Friesland.
