Jakokoyak is a Welsh lo-fi experimental electronic music project, with leanings towards psychedelic folk. Welsh experimental Folktronica act Jakokoyak is the brainchild of Rhys Edwards. A native of Mold in Flintshire, Wales. Edwards began recording as a sophomore at University. Working and recording alone, he began perfecting and exploring old keyboards and effects pedals. On the brink of desolation, this solitude is reflected strongly in distinctive Jakokoyak sound. As with any compleity, the music requires attentive and active attention. It was these recordings that subsequently gave him the passport to a postgraduate Music course at Bangor. Without an academic background...
