Em 1986 a cena roqueira de Belo Horizonte fervia. Na área de Metal, havia sido lançado o split-album Sepultura/Overdose pelo selo Cogumelo Records. A cidade se agitava em grande festivais de rádios e era fundado o primeiro estúdio verdadeiramente de rock de BH: o JG Estúdio. Oriundo do projeto Tribo de Solos, o estúdio começou suas atividades com o Sepultura (os dois primeiros LP's foram gravados lá), mas já lançava de forma independente o primeiro EP do grupo Kamikaze, que estourou nas rádios com “Machado de Guerra” e se tornou o hino de toda uma geração de roqueiros do Brasil....
