There is a DJ and one band who use this name:

1) Momirovic Michael aka Caligari got his first residency in 1994, in “Shakespeare” club in Salzburg, where he started off as an afterhour DJ. His interest in electro was born with his discovery of bands like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, New Order, and Human League. In the beginning of the ’90 he gets a job in one of the largest record stores and thus becomes one of the biggest record collectionaires in Serbia. His next residency was "Cave Club”, which was more than once pronounced as one of the best clubs round Europe. This successful DJ is also a successful producer, being that he has numerous releases, some of them on records. Within his fifteen-year- long career, he has played in inumerable clubs and manifestations in Austria, Germany, even Serbia, and he has shared decks with Dave Clark, Monika Kruse, Baby Ford, Tanit, Fillipo Naughty Moscatello... In 2002, he returns to Serbia, sets up "tekNOIR Productions" and starts the first radio show about electronic music, "RADIOACTIVE" on STIL radio in Kragujevac. Also a cofounder of "E-75", he is one of the fighters for electro sound’s existence in our country. His music style varies from techouse and techno to electro clash and electro.

2) Caligari began in the summer of 1998 after the demise of the bands Floodplain, and Saqqara. It was started by guitarist Tim Munce, bassist Terry Taylor, vocalist Ryan Redman, and drummer Matt Mcfarland. After a line-up change, Terry took over as vocalist BJ Anderson then became Caligari's new bass player, Matt Buol joined in on second guitar, and Adam Jones became Caligari's permanent drummer. Caligari was started with the determination to accomplish: such as releasing records and touring as much as possible. The fuel behind its formation was to have fun playing music while retaining the purpose of communication and in hope of making a vital connection between emotions and sound.

The lyrics for each and every song have a meaning and a reason behind them, although their somewhat ambiguous nature doesn't always spell it out. The lyrics are personal to an extent and are mixed with Terry's love for horror movies and the darker things in life, but are written with the hope that listeners will be able to connect with them.

The music has progressed and changed over the years. It has become more brutal, emotional, and original, yet it still retains the metal sound of its roots. The spacey, technical feel of Caligari's music has made it tough to classify the band.

Caligari's self-titled full length on Init Records, is a blistering showcase of what they have to offer. 8 tracks of spaced out technical hardcore. It's Caligari's second full length and light years ahead of anything they have done in the past.
